Visual image blog of snippets in my life
Royal Palace of Korea
The Fall of 2015 was first time travelling solo to meet a friend. Seoul, Korea was a world of endless green mountains, rivers, bright muted colours and people that always come in pairs.
This little hand pin was my first attempt at designing my own jewellery piece. It took 4.5 hours to hand crave the wax piece, it was then sent off to cast in sliver.
One of two final projects I created at Habourfront Centre, Toronto.
During my second visit in Tokyo, Japan, I drew the best fortune of the day. I still keep the fortune with me where ever I go.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden, NYC, USA. This was taken with film, I was still learning about what the best lighting suited this little toy camera.
After a year of not doing ceramics, my partner and I threw these pieces all in one afternoon. The bowls were inspired by our trip in Iceland with the rolling mountains and a hidden lake inside the bottom of each bowl.
Foraging is an easy way to bring home some greenery in your space. As a kid, I'm always looking down the floor when I walk. I don't do it as much, but things like these, it makes me happy.
Vik Beaches of Iceland. An unplanned trip up a cliff by our wonderful tour guide who squeezed in an extra view for us. The thing about Iceland is that every week the landscape changes and looks different all the time.
Icelandic Horses are not Ponies. This last shoot was taken on film with this old Brownie camera. It's my first time using a medium format camera and my first horse back riding experience.
