mend. is a self help kit that educates, and encourages user to recognize they are not define by physical or emotional shame.
How do we convince people who are suffering from acne to believe clear skin is achieveable?
To motivate and inspire young adults who are suffering from acne to see life beyond breakouts.
About the project
This kit was design to help users feel safe and guided; From the calming colours, to the use of boarders on every page, to the mini size of the books, everything was simple, clean and approachable. Even the font chosen had serif feet so that the words felt grounded.
Thoughts about Project
I feel very passionate about the topic of acne and mental wellness. When I went through acne and depression in my early twenties, it was emotional, unexpected and a very confusing time. During my last year of studying graphic design, I decided to base my thesis on my acne experience. This project became mend. a philosophy kit that encourages young adults to see life beyond acne, to believe again. This personal project was a way for me to share everything I’ve learnt, especially what not to do.
INSIDE THE KIT
This kit offers the following tools; a 3 step education guide, a journal that takes them through 52 weeks, a starter bottle of 10 omega 3 capsules, a 15mL silicone scar gel and a login account that will take you beyond this kit and join the online community who are inspiring one another everyday.
